Description
The Woodfast BS250B 250mm (10") Bandsaw brings many of the features associated with larger floor-standing bandsaws to a compact benchtop design.
Its strong steel frame, cast-iron worktable and balanced 254mm cast-aluminium bandwheels provide a stable platform for straight cuts, curved work and general timber preparation. With a 245mm throat capacity and 120mm maximum cutting height, the BS250B is well suited to small furniture projects, cabinetry, craftwork, toy making and general workshop use.
A spring-loaded, tool-less blade-guide system makes blade setup faster and easier, while the rack-and-pinion upper guide adjustment allows the cutting height to be positioned accurately. The quick-release blade-tension lever lets the operator remove blade tension when the machine is not in use, helping protect the blade and bandsaw tyres.
Two selectable blade speeds—460m/min and 1,000m/min—provide flexibility for different cutting applications. An aluminium rip fence with cam lock and the supplied mitre gauge help guide material for controlled straight, angled and crosscuts.
The BS250B can be used on a suitable workbench or paired with the optional Woodfast BS250-OS open stand and compatible mobility kit.
